2011 Events

• The writing of Nerdy Thirty will be the focus of my Tuesday, January 11 presentation at the Omaha Public Library.

• I’m delighted to serve as the keynote speaker for the Metropolitan Child Advocacy Coalition 2011 kick-off breakfast on Friday, January 14.

• Branding and social media marketing are the focus of my Friday, January 28 panel presentation at the 2011 Professional Development Conference, hosted by the Nebraska chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

• “Sharing the Story, Spreading the Love: How Smart Social Media Marketing Nets Followers, Fans and Friends” is the title of my Thursday, March 3 presentation at the 2011 Young Professionals Summit.

• Attend the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce Ladies’ Golf Outing on Thursday, June 3. Hear about Nerdy Thirty and purchase a book during my lunch-hour presentation at Eagle Hills Golf Course in Papillion.

• Listen to readings by Inklings author Jeffrey Koterba, Are You Going To Eat That? author Michael Campbell, and me on Saturday, June 5 at the Omaha Press Club. A cocktail reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with the three readings starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door, which includes hors d’oeuvres and one cocktail. (All three books will also be for sale at the event.) For $35, UNO alumni can attend the reading and receive a ticket to hear Pink Martini perform with the Omaha Symphony that night at 8 p.m. at the Holland Performing Arts Center in downtown Omaha. • Learn about the book when I speak at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26 at the KANEKO-UNO Library in Omaha’s Old Market. The presentation is part of a new Saturday-morning event series at the library.
